Frequently Asked Wedding Questions

1. Are your wedding packages flexible?
Yes of course. There are pre-made packages that will suit many people, but for those special situations we're always glad to create your own custom package.

2. Is there a travel fee?
There are no travel fees for weddings in and around Kitchener-Waterloo (approx.1hr drive around). Weddings farther than that will be charged a flat $50 travel fee. For weddings over 3 hours away, accomodation is appreciated. Weddings in other provinces and countries, accomodation is expected.

3. Do you photograph destination weddings?
Yes, very reasonably as well. Limited acceptance on an annual basis, please inquire!

4. What does the "second photographer" do at the wedding?
The second photographer is there to assist Pamela or Heather. They will also photograph candids throughout the day. Essentially they are the "photojournalist" for the day.

5. How will I view my photos afterwards?
You will have the option of an in-studio viewing session or an online ordering gallery. You are asked to place your order at the viewing session and will receive 10% off any order placed at the meeting. If you choose an online ordering gallery, it will be available for 2 weeks for $25.
Included in your package is also a DVD Movie keepsake and a proof CD with small files to share with friends and family.

6. Do you provide the digital negatives?
All of our wedding packages include high resolution printable copies of your wedding photos. They are provided in JPG format on DVD only.

7. Do you provide a back up photographer?
Of course. In the wedding photography contract, I agree that if for some unlikely reason I or Heather cannot attend your wedding, an alternate PPOC member will be sent in my place.

8. What is your photography style?
Contemporary, classic and fun are a few words that would sum up our style. We love romantic couple photos as well as the funky magazine style pictures and of course we have lots of fun during it all!

9. Are you a member of any professional organizations?
Yes, we are active members of the Professional Photographers of Canada (www.ppoc.ca) with an LPPO status. Pamela is actively working towards her CPA status (Craftsman of Photographic Arts).

10. What is your educational background?
Pamela trained at Fanshawe College's Advanced Photography program and Heather attended the photography program at Conestoga College. We continue our education through PPOC meetings, WPPI conventions and many other photography programs.

11. How far in advance should I book my wedding date with you?
Depending on what time of year you're getting married, you should aim for 6 months -18 months in advance. However it never hurts to check if we're available by sending a quick email!

12. How do I book my wedding with Pamela or Heather?
Start by sending us an email (info@pwphoto.ca) letting us know what your wedding date is, whether you'd like Heather or Pamela as your wedding photographer and what package you're interested in. We can go straight to booking via email/phone or set up your wedding consultation. To hold your wedding date, a reservation fee of $500 and a completed contract is required.

13. If Heather is photographing my wedding, then who does our engagement photos?
Your main planning contact with regards to payments, packages, scheduling and wedding consultations is Pamela. If you decide to book Heather for your wedding photography, she will photograph your engagement session, meet with you 1-2 months before your wedding to go over details and would be glad to email/phone/meet with you before booking her if you'd like. There is lots of opportunity to get to know eachother well before the wedding day!
